Pseudotropheus Elongatus Chailosi is an attractive mbuna, mature males having black and blue vertical bars and yellow in the rear and tail. Females are typically dusky yellow with dark bars. Female elongatus are mouth-brooders, carrying fry in their mouth until they are large enough to be released. The males feed from the bio-cover while females and non-territorial males school in the upper region feeding on plankton and browsing the algae from the tops of the boulders.
